How to Create Strong Calls to Action (FREE EBOOK)
Why should you be creating Strong Calls to Action?
Well the answer is simple you have to give a person instructions on what to do next or they won’t know. When I first started online I had no idea what a Strong Calls to Action were. In fact I was creating so many video’s that did not have good Strong Calls to Action and was clueless to why I was not converting. If you want something you have to ask for it! Maybe this sounds simple to you but it’s often missed in a lot of people marketing.
What is a Strong Call to Action?
A call-to-action (CTA) is an image or text that prompts visitors to take action, such as subscribe to a newsletter, view a webinar, or request a product demo. CTAs should direct people to landing pages, where you can collect visitors’ contact information in exchange for a valuable marketing offer. In that sense, an effective CTA results in more leads and conversions for your website.
What is your Goal when creating a call to action?
Your primary goal is to get your targeted traffic to do what you want and in order to do that you need to have a good explanation of your offer and how they will benefit then comes the call to action. In many of my marketing Funnels I tell my audience to Sign in to get the offer. A example of this is in my offer to the right of this post. It says FREE Twitter Training, Fill out the form to Gain Instant Access and of course the button says FREE Instant Access. The visitor knows exactly what they are getting and then I call them to action to sign in.
Calls to Action are everywhere..
And maybe your prospect is not ready to provide their information so your secondary goal when creating offers, blog posts, emails etc. to keep them engaged with you and build credibility with them (which I highly recommend) by creating a secondary call to action.
Examples of secondary calls to action:
- Follow us on Facebook
- Watch our video
- View product details
- Meet our team
- Sign up for a free trial
- Watch this demo
- Comment on this blog
Most people will have to see your offer several times before they actually take action. By staying in front of your prospects ultimately you will build some rapport with them if you are effectively marketing. After all you want your prospects or audience to spend as much time with you as possible right?
Creating really effective Calls to Action is really a skill that is acquired over time and below I have included a free ebook for you to learn more. If you are just getting started online I highly recommend having a system in place that already has sales funnels that have Strong Calls to Action and high converting sales pages. This will give you a edge over the market especially once you learn to market them effectively. You want your prospects or audience drooling over your offers and the best way I have found to do that is with MLSP.

Hi April Marie…..well done, informative blog….thanks again for sharing your wisdom and insight…..Anthony
Pleasure Anthony!!
Hello April, This is an outstanding post. Many marketers are offering valuable content and they are driving traffic to their sites. However, I’m seeing too many sites with no Call To Action or a weak one. People need to know what you want them to do next. Tell them and make in clear.
Keep the value coming… : )

Thanks Jeff!! So true it is really important to have a call to action it is a necessity
April – this is one of my favorite topics. Not enough marketers, in my humble opinion, give this enough time or thought yet it’s the difference between turning your traffic into leads or not! Keep bringin’ it!

Having a strong call to action is usually what separates great marketers from mediocre ones. Your call to action should be compelling enough to get your prospect to take the desired action. I love the idea of having secondary calls to action so that if they primary one doesn’t grab the prospect’s attention, the secondary ones will. People usually have to see something so many times before they take action. So if you have a secondary call to action like “Join me on Facebook” and your prospect takes you up on your offer, then you can continue to market to them through your Facebook page as well.
Thanks for sharing, April.
